Summer in the City.

The sun is shining and the flowers are in full bloom, so many beautiful experiences to have and fun activities to do. Within your own city, you have the opportunity to embrace all the great things it has to offer.

With a later sunset and warmer weather it creates a perfect social setting.

What are the best things to do in London this summer?

For a fun outdoor atmosphere why not visit a rooftop with a view. London has an amazing skyline, one of the best in the world. I recommend Madison London with the view of St Pauls, the indoor dining, outdoor lounge setting, great DJ and live music, sipping your cocktails with the sunset as your backdrop.

If you prefer a more intimate rooftop setting with outdoor dining and a bit of retail therapy, then Alto by San Carlo is a great option; placed above Selfridges and has the infamous instagram worthy walk-way that leads up to the restaurant. A great menu filled with authentic Italian dishes and a delicious creative signature cocktail.

If you are looking for more of a laid back day out, why not try street food markets. Markets in general are fun and depending on the day, they will sell a variety of products; from food to clothing and sometimes even both. It is a great little mini adventure, you get a combination of cultures from around the world coming together, so it’s like traveling but less miles.

A great market to visit this summer is the Jubilee Market located in Covent Garden. It is well-known for unique Art & Craft pieces and collectable Antiques. You will come away with some amazing finds. Not to mention the surrounding luxury boutiques, fine dining restaurants and delicious Gelato shops like Amorino.

One of my all time favourite markets is Greenwich Market it has a bit of everything, so it’s an eventful day out! Situated in the heart of Greenwich, with the beautiful surroundings of Greenwich University, Greenwich Park and The Cutty Sark.

Another great market place is Borough Market located near London Bridge. It has a wide selection of food stands, you can taste test a range of fresh and healthy produce, it has a buzzing atmosphere often filled with visitors from all around the world.

Museums are a fantastic way to spend the day, they are extremely fun and educational.

I recommend visiting the Tate it has two locations in London; Tate Modern and Tate Britain. Both museums display great exhibitions, workshops and special events throughout the summer.

Another great museum to visit is the Natural History Museum in South Kensington, it has a spectacular Dinosaur gallery that you truly must-see at least once.

With the sun setting much later in the day, it allows you more time to do fun outdoor activities and spend quality time with loved ones.

A classic picnic in the park, grabbing drinks at a beer garden or a casual walk by the River Thames. London has a lot to offer and hidden gems to discover. Have fun exploring this summer!
